You don't
have to spec into hammer. I don't. Every time I've tried to use hammer during LK, a tank dies, so I only hammer Valks if I'm the last resort. Some paladins take the extra points and put them in Benediction. I have points in Imp Righteous Defense.
Once you have all the "must have" talents, the fillers are up to you, depending on what whether you pug a lot, pvp in your raiding spec, play solo in your raiding spec, etc.
As for your logs, they looked fine to me, so no worries. I don't really look at places on the meters. As long as you're not seriously lagging behind and being outhealed by the shadow priests, I'm happy.
I look at how the damage you take compares to other peoples and technique: whether you keep SS/Beacon/Judgement of the Pure up, which Auras you pick, what you offset Divine Plea with, when you use your CDs. And you certainly passed that test
